The Zoroastrian Association of Allah Abad successfully brought together local officials from Zarch and Allah Abad at the historic dakhmah, where they obtained a clear directive from Zarch Governor Saeed Parvizi to begin restoration of the site.
For several years, the association has been working to resolve legal and administrative issues surrounding the dakhmah. On Thursday, Mehr 3, 1404, with the association’s coordination, all county and district authorities gathered at the kheileh (the adjoining structure) of the dakhmah to examine the challenges directly on site.
The field session was attended by Zarch Governor Saeed Parvizi, the Allah Abad district governor, representatives from the Housing and Urban Development Office, the head of Zarch’s Cultural Heritage Department, the head of the Land Registry Office, the chair of Zarch City Council, the Allah Abad village chief, the head of the Kavir Heritage Association, along with members of the Allah Abad Zoroastrian Association.
During the meeting, issues related to the preservation and management of the site were reviewed. Governor Parvizi gave firm instructions to the relevant departments to prioritize the matter and ensure that restoration begins as soon as possible.
The Allah Abad Zoroastrian Association thanked all officials and participants, describing the cooperation as a hopeful step forward.
The association also called on local Zoroastrians to collaborate with the association, the Cultural Heritage Department, and the village council in restoring deteriorating houses, so that in the future their hometown may be introduced to the world as a cultural tourism destination.
