Ceremony Honoring Martyrs’ Families Attended by Fereydoun Nejadaki’s Wife

Khorshidchehr Farhadi, the wife of Fereydoun Nejadaki, attended a ceremony held to honor the mothers and wives of martyrs. She joined 60 other women at the Iranology Foundation, where their sacrifices were acknowledged and appreciated.

According to the Iranology Foundation’s Public Relations Office, the event took place on Sunday evening, Azar 25, 1403 (December 15, 2024), commemorating the first anniversary of the burial of unknown martyrs at the foundation. Coinciding with the death anniversary of Hazrat Umm al-Banin, the ceremony included various programs dedicated to honoring the mothers and wives of martyrs.

In his address, Mohammad Hossein Rajabi Davani, president of the Iranology Foundation, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the significance of the event. He noted that hosting such a ceremony to honor the families of martyrs and mark the anniversary of the burial of a cherished, unknown martyr—unknown on earth but known in heaven—is a meaningful milestone for the foundation.

In his speech, the president of the Iranology Foundation emphasized that the foundation serves as a home for all Iranians and everyone who loves Iran and takes pride in its greatness. He highlighted that the foundation is not limited to Muslims but is also a welcoming space for Iranians of other faiths. He expressed pride in honoring the families of Muslim martyrs alongside those of martyrs from religious minorities, including followers of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and Prophet Zoroaster (peace be upon him).

The ceremony’s next speaker was Brigadier General Ali Fazli, a prominent veteran of the Sacred Defense, a comrade of Iran’s esteemed martyrs, and the deputy coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The event also featured an artistic painting by Master Mohammad Ali Rajabi Davani, created in past years to honor martyrs’ families. The artist briefly discussed the significance and inspiration behind the artwork.

To conclude the ceremony, certificates and gifts were presented to 60 mothers and wives of martyrs, including both Muslim families and those from religious minority communities, as a gesture of appreciation and respect.

The ceremony honoring martyrs’ families at the Iranology Foundation featured several side programs, including eulogies for the Ahl al-Bayt, recitations of epic poetry, screenings of clips and music videos, theatrical performances on the theme of martyrs’ families, the presence of attendants from the Imam Reza Shrine, visits to the resting place of an unknown martyr, and tours of the Iranology Foundation’s exhibitions.

Among the Zoroastrian attendees were Khorshid Nejadaki, the wife of Fereydoun Nejadaki, and their son, Rashid Nejadaki. Fereydoun Nejadaki, a paramedic, was deployed to the front lines alongside medical teams and was martyred on Mehr 7, 1362, in Somar Front, Kermanshah.
