Behshid Barkhordar, the Zoroastrian parliamentary representative, recently toured the male and female student dormitories in Tehran to better understand their conditions and challenges.
According to the Tehran Zoroastrian Association website, on the afternoon of Wednesday, 7 Khordad 1404, Barkhordar visited the dormitories, engaging directly with students and learning about their living conditions and needs.
Parivash Hirbod, the dormitory supervisor, noted that Barkhordar’s visit began at 5 PM with a tour of the girls’ dormitory, including rooms and the courtyard. During her visit, he spoke with students about their academic fields and discussed some of their concerns and requests.
Following the visit, it was agreed that carpets or rugs would be purchased for the girls’ dormitory. Furthermore, the courtyard, which requires some maintenance and landscaping, will be renovated with the assistance of Barkhordar and the Tehran Zoroastrian Association.
According to the Public Relations office of the Zoroastrian Association of Tehran, Behsid Barkhordar visited the boys’ dormitory (Davari) and engaged in conversations with the Zoroastrian students residing there.
The male students greeted the parliamentary representative warmly upon her arrival. After learning about their fields of study, Barkhordar remarked on the dormitory’s facilities and space, noting, “Your dormitory is larger than the girls’, so make sure to value it.”
The discussion then focused on improving the dormitory’s amenities and addressing minor repairs. Barkhordar assured the students that these issues would be resolved with the help of herself, the association’s board, and the building committee.
Anahita shahriyari accompanied her throughout the visit.
