Mehrshad Piltan, a talented young student from Kerman, secured second place in the national medical workshop competition. He achieved this honor through a team effort, where he and his group presented an accurate replica of a resuscitation procedure. Born in September 2009, Mehrshad is the son of Mina Zarezadeh and Pejman Piltan. He recently completed the 8th grade at Allameh Helli High School of Talents in Kerman.
The competition was organized by the National Organization for the Development of Brilliant Talents, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Education of Isfahan Province and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. It took place on Amordad 25, 1403 (August 15, 2024), with the aim of enhancing skill-based training and guiding talented students toward key scientific and technological fields.
The competition involved four stages: the first two were individual, while the final two were group-based, with teams of four. The event catered to two levels of students—7th and 8th graders, and 9th to 11th graders. It began in Aban 1402 (November 2023), and the photos below showcase the resuscitation procedure presented by Mehrshad and his team.
