Shahriar Hirbad, Author of Gohare Pak, Passed Away

Shahriar Hirbad (Rostam Shapour Mehr), a respected Zoroastrian writer, passed away on Tuesday, Amordad 23, 1403 (August 13, 2024). Born on Farvardin 19, 1329 (April 8, 1950), in Yazd, he was the son of the late Shirin Abrishami and Shapour Mehr. His wife is Parvaneh Hirbad, and their children are Shirin, Shahnoosh, and Shahdokht.

Shahriar Hirbad was not only a writer but also a dedicated social activist. His published works include Peyvand Mehregan, The Story of Raz and Dashte Sepidan, Jashn dar Vadi Kohan, Gohare Pak, and the four-volume collection Memoirs of Rostam Shapour Mehr.

The funeral ceremony for Shahriar Hirbad was held at 8:00 AM on Thursday, Amordad 25, 1403 (August 15, 2024), with traditional Zoroastrian chants at the Zoroastrian cemetery in Yazd.
