Hassanabad Zoroastrian Association thanks Behshid Barkhordar for her efforts

The Hasanabad Zoroastrian Association has expressed its sincere appreciation to Behnoush Bakhordar, the Zoroastrian representative in the Iranian Parliament, for her dedicated efforts and continued advocacy to improve the well-being of the Zoroastrian community in Hasanabad.

According to a statement from the Association, thanks to Bakhordar’s persistent follow-ups and in collaboration with the Meybod Municipality, the worn-out and damaged streets in the Zoroastrian areas of Hasanabad village were resurfaced with new asphalt on May 22, 2025 (1 Khordad 1404). In addition, work is currently underway to extend a drinking water pipeline from Isfahan to the entrance of the Hasanabad Zoroastrian fire temple (Daremehr) to serve the local community.

The report also notes that, following coordination between Bakhordar and Mohammad Reza Falahati, acting head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Yazd Province, and the allocation of development funds to the department, a long-delayed stone paving and restoration project on Darya Alley in the Zoroastrian quarter is now set to resume.

The Hasanabad Zoroastrian Association warmly extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Behnoush Bekhordar, the honorable representative of Iranian Zoroastrians in Parliament, for her unwavering commitment and impactful advocacy in addressing the infrastructure and development needs of the Hasanabad community.

We also deeply appreciate the valuable support and collaboration of the Meybod Municipality and the County’s Cultural Heritage Department in facilitating and implementing key projects, including road resurfacing and the extension of a drinking water pipeline to the Daremehr of this historic neighborhood.

These dedicated efforts have not only enhanced the quality of life for local residents but have also played a vital role in safeguarding and honoring our cultural and religious heritage.
