Gahanbar ceremony, to thank the creation of the skies, was held in Rostam Bagh

The board of trustees of Arbab Rostam Guiv endowments held the Maidyzarem gahanbar ceremony without the presence of community members, in the Rostam Bagh fire temple.

The gahanbar ceremony for maidyozarem chahre was prayed on Khor Day of the month of Ordibehesht, Zoroastrian calendar, equal to 10th Ordibehesht 1401, official calendar, at 4 pm, in the Rostam Bagh fire temple. Afshin Namiranian, a member of the Zoroastrian Association of Tehran, members of the board of trustees of the Gio Endowment, and the ceremony organizers were among the participants of this meynouyee charity. It was decided by the board of trustees of Arbab Rostam Guiv endowments to hold the ceremony without public gathering, in order to prevent the coronavirus spread. The prayed eatables on the gahanbar table were distributed among residents of Rostam Bagh.

Gahanbar is a ceremony and celebration that has been held for a long time in cultural Iran, a festival whose them is to gathr, help out, stay united and charity. Maidyozarem is in mid spring and the first gahanbar of the year (mid Ordibehesht, from Khor Day to Day-be-mehr Day), meant to acknowledge and appreciate the creation of the skies. Symbols of the elements created by God are placed on the gahanbar table, and each one represents one of the elements. The fire brazier and the oil lamps symbolize the maidyozaem gahanbar.
