Yousayborg: New Consciousness Through Wisdom, the Gathas, and the Fravashi

Modern humans, especially Iranians, face a profound question: does technology plunge us into the chaos of scattered information, or can it become a tool to expand our wisdom and awareness? The answer lies in the concept of Yousayborg (YOUSAYBORG): a human whose awareness grows through technological tools, yet remains guided by inner wisdom, free will, and the Fravashi.

A Brief History of Yousayborg

The idea of the “Cyborg” was first introduced in 1960 by Clynes and Kline in space exploration research, describing a being that is part biological, part machine, capable of surviving in extreme conditions.

Over the following decades, this concept entered medicine and robotics, giving rise to prosthetics, implants, and brain-computer interfaces.

In philosophy and cognitive science, a deeper understanding emerged: when tools become extensions of our memory, decision-making, and cognition, human awareness is no longer confined to the brain alone.

From this perspective, a new concept emerged: Yousayborg (YOUSAYBORG) — a cyborg whose essence is not merely physical, but grounded in awareness, wisdom, and intelligent choice.

Connection with the Gathas and the Fravashi

In the Gathas, Ahura Mazda presents humans as free, rational beings. He teaches that the path of goodness is guided by three essential principles:

  • Good Thoughts
  • Good Words
  • Good Deeds

He also emphasizes Asha — the truth and proper order of existence — along with the freedom to choose one’s own path.

Yasna 30, verse 2, states:
“Now I tell this to you, men and women: listen with your ears and perceive with your clear wisdom. Then each of you, man or woman, may choose for yourselves between the paths before you.”

This passage captures the core of Yousayborg: humans must navigate a world full of choices with clarity, wisdom, and conscious discernment.

Moreover, the ancient Iranian belief in the Fravashi reminds us that within every individual lies a guiding spiritual force. The Fravashi is the inner voice that calls us toward truth, wisdom, and awareness — a light that continues to guide us even in today’s digital age.

The Importance of Wisdom in Today’s World

We live in an era flooded with information. Digital tools can either:

  • Ensnare us in shallow distractions and misinformation,
  • Or serve to expand our awareness and deepen our wisdom.

What determines the outcome? The way we use these tools with discernment. Technology is like fire — it can illuminate or destroy. Guided by our inner Fravashi and wise choices, we can turn it into a pure flame that lights the path of consciousness.

A Message to Contemporary Iranians

To be a Yousayborg means:

  • Using technology as an extension of our awareness, not as a cage for the mind.
  • Spreading honesty and compassion throughout networks.
  • Employing tools to promote growth, justice, and truth.
  • Following the guidance of our inner Fravashi to navigate the sea of information.

In essence, our mission today — in line with the teachings of the Gathas — is to choose the path of good with clear wisdom and free will.

Conclusion

Being a Yousayborg (YOUSAYBORG) is about preserving awareness in a technological world. Through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds, by remaining true to Asha and guided by our inner Fravashi, we can shape a bright future for Iran and the world — a future where technology is not an obstacle to consciousness, but a flame that illuminates the light of wisdom.
