Tahmineh Cavoosji Chosen as Zoroastrian Journalist

Tahmineh Cavoosji, a prominent Zoroastrian journalist, communications strategist, and advocate for gender equality, has been named one of Tatler Asia’s Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow for 2025.

With this recognition, she joins 300 of Asia’s most inspiring young changemakers — leaders who are shaping a more just and dynamic future across the region.

Championing Justice and Accountability
In Malaysia, Cavoosji is widely regarded as a fearless and thoughtful journalist. She has hosted impactful programs such as Money Matters on TV3, Bernama Today, and Niaga Spotlight on Astro Awani, addressing complex issues that have reached millions of Malaysians.

She is also the founder and communications director of The Big Picture, an agency committed to advancing gender equality, press freedom, and civic engagement.

Her work has contributed to meaningful political reforms, including support for the Malaysian Media Council Bill and campaigns advocating equal citizenship rights for women.

As Tatler notes, she is “unafraid to speak truth to power while amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.”

About Tatler Asia Gen.T

Gen.T, short for Generation T, is Tatler Asia’s annual list celebrating the next generation of leaders and innovators across public service, entrepreneurship, technology, law, and the arts.

Honorees are chosen through a rigorous process that evaluates not only professional achievements but also purpose-driven work and positive impact. Tahmineh Cavoosji’s selection this year underscores her role as a driving force for change in Malaysian media and civil society.

Reflecting on the recognition, Tahmineh said:
“I’m honored to be counted among Asia’s brightest… We will continue our work and support the growth of this next generation of changemakers.”

A Moment of Pride
While she is primarily recognized for her contributions in Malaysia, Tahmineh also acknowledges the Parsi and Zoroastrian community, whose members have played a significant role in public life across Asia for generations.

Her journey illustrates how independent journalism, empathy, and a clear sense of purpose can leave a lasting mark.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Tahmineh Cavoosji for this well-deserved recognition. Her work continues to inspire journalists, advocates, and citizens committed to building a fairer and more inclusive society.
