Public recitation of Ormazd Yasht and Yasht-to-Yasht reward program was held at Yazd Fire Temple.
This ceremony, held in celebration of the first Deygan Festival on the day of Ahura Mazda in Dey month according to the Zoroastrian calendar, took place on Sunday, 25 Azar 1403 (December 15, 2024), starting at 3:00 PM. The event began with recitation of the Avesta by Mobed Rostam Kavousianzadeh.
At the same time, elementary school students gathered at the specialized library of Yazd Zoroastrians (Banoo and Keykhosrow Bozorgchami) to register for the “Yasht to Yasht” reward program. These students later engaged in drawing activities.
At the conclusion of the Avesta recitation ceremony, reward cards were presented to the students. This round of the “Yasht to Yasht” program spans nine Yashts, beginning with Ormazd in Aban month and culminating with Varahram Yazata in Dey month.
Elementary Zoroastrian children participating in all nine programs will receive a reward card each time and, at the end, will be presented with a special prize if they collect all nine cards. Students who collect six cards will also be acknowledged. To qualify for the reward card, students must be present at the Fire Temple within the first 15 minutes of the ceremony’s start.
