Family Education Meeting Held at Guiv Elementary School

An educational session on preventing cyberspace addiction took place at Guiv Elementary School, gathering parents and experts for an insightful discussion.

The meeting, titled “Prevention of Cyberspace Addiction,” was held on the second Wednesday of Aban (October) at Guiv Girls’ Elementary School. Dr. Maryam Khosroviani led the session, attended by parents of 5th and 6th-grade students.

Dr. Khosroviani began by explaining the differences in cognition and learning before and after age 11, emphasizing the types of development—physical, mental, emotional, and social—that occur during puberty. She also discussed the challenges teenagers face as they undergo these developmental changes, highlighting the effects on various aspects of their lives.

The session concluded with a discussion of strategies to mitigate these challenges, particularly those related to cyberspace addiction.

Guiv Elementary School operates under the Zoroastrian Association of Tehran, with Fatemeh Salmanzadeh recently appointed as principal. This year, the school serves 49 Zoroastrian students.
