The Board of Directors of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association approved the creation of a database for Zoroastrian physicians and paramedics.
According to the spokesperson for the 45th term, seven proposals were presented by various commissions during the meeting. After discussions and reviews, six of the proposals were approved by the board, while one was referred to the financial commission for further evaluation.
The proposals presented by the Services Commission and subsequently approved include:
A resolution to issue a public call for the formation, collection, and consolidation of a database of Zoroastrian physicians and paramedics.
Approval of the Rostam Guiv Endowment’s request to use the grass field of the Marker Complex on holidays from mid-Azar to mid-Esfand (December to March).
Agreement to allocate an advance payment of 1 billion rials (100 million tomans) for organizing the commemoration of Ashu Zarathushtra’s death anniversary, on December 25 (5th Dey).
Further approved proposals included:
Organizing a joyful event for Zoroastrians at the Khosravi Celebration Hall on November 29, 2024 (9 Azar 1403).
Offering a 20% discount exclusively for staff and executive members collaborating with the association, applicable only to the individual.
Approving the allocation of up to 100 million rials (10 million tomans) for the 30-day memorial service of a long-serving staff member who had worked for years for the Zoroastrian community.
The proposal referred for further evaluation was from the Cultural-Educational Commission, which requested a budget of 1.5 billion rials (150 million tomans) for continuing cultural support initiatives by the Tehran Zoroastrian Association in 2024 (1403).
According to the spokesperson for the 45th term, part of the 88th meeting was dedicated to honoring Artin Fallahati, a young Zoroastrian who was accepted into the Allameh Helli School for Gifted Students. A certificate of appreciation and a gift from the Tehran Zoroastrian Association were presented to his mother, Mitra Mahbod, who was present at the meeting.
Additionally, the board expressed gratitude to the Markar Yazd Executive Committee for their efforts in successfully organizing the commemoration ceremony of the late Dosabhai J. Marker.
The 88th meeting of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association was held on the afternoon of Monday, November 11, 2024 (21 Aban 1403). The meeting was officially convened at 6:10 PM with the attendance of two auditors and 16 board members, continuing with a total of 19 participants.
