In the new academic year, each 6th-grade class at Jamshidjam Elementary School now has a representative in the Parents and Teachers Association.
On Tuesday, Shahrivar 27, 1403 (September 17, 2024), parents of students gathered at the school following an invitation from the principal to participate in the elections for the Parents and Teachers Association and to meet the teachers. During the meeting, Noushin Pashoutan, principal of Jamshidjam Elementary School, and Afshin Namiranian, head of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association, discussed past accomplishments and shared the educational program for the upcoming academic year.
Two parents from each grade in the first elementary level (grades 1 to 3) and three parents from each grade in the second elementary level (grades 4 to 6) were nominated to run for the Parents and Teachers Association. As a result, 14 candidates from six different grades were presented, and voting commenced with 75 attendees. After counting the votes, one representative from each grade was elected to the Jamshidjam Elementary School Parents and Teachers Association. The elected representatives are as follows:
Soroush Namiri with 63 votes from the 5th grade
Fereshteh Shamardani with 63 votes from the 3rd grade
Armin Dabestani with 53 votes from the 1st grade
Atousa Khorramshahi with 52 votes from the 2nd grade
Metsa Rostami with 39 votes from the 6th grade
Kourosh Foroudi with 38 votes from the 4th grade
For the 1403-1404 academic year, a representative from each of the six educational levels was elected to the Parents and Teachers Association. The elections were held alongside the celebration marking the start of the academic journey for first-grade students.
Founded in 1285, Jamshidjam Boys’ Elementary School is one of the six schools operated by the Tehran Zoroastrian Association. Over the years, it has sent numerous graduates on to higher education. Currently, the school provides education to Zoroastrian students from first through sixth grade.
