The Tehran Zoroastrian House of Culture and Art executive board informed Zoroastrians in a report about the activities carried out in 1401.
After entrusting the responsibility of Tehran Zoroastrian House of Culture and Art in Ordibehesht 1401 to the selected executive board of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association, this executive group carried out a series of activities in the 8 months since starting its activities, until end of the year 1401, in accordance with the agenda, for information of all Zoroastrians. The activities carried out are as follows:
1- Organizing the state of affairs of the Zoroastrian House of Culture and Art after two years of closure in the post-corona years
2- Tracking and pruning trees and green space in the yard
3- Converting the large display bench into separate benches for use in the open area
4- Following up and supervising the repairs of the House of Culture and Art with the financial aid of the esteemed Zartoshti family
5- Planning and installing the maintenance cooler
6- Taking action to buy, install and duct the janitor’s cooler
7- Planning and organizing educational classes in a new way
8- Reactivating the Zoroastrian House of Culture and Art Instagram page
9- Fixing and repairing the 3-phase electric box inside the building
10- Solving the lighting problems and improving classroom lighting system
11- Following up and repairing the water coolers in the classrooms, with cooperation of Tehran Zoroastrian Association
12- Improving the state of the kitchen adjacent to Mehrbanoo Hall, to meet the present needs
13- Holding more that 40 hours of meetings and interviews with teachers to select the right ones for education
14- Setting up closed-circuit cameras in classes for simultaneous management of classes
15- Setting up an SMS panel for emergency announcements
16- Preparing and issuing job descriptions to colleagues for the purpose of achieving better job results
17- Solving the problems of sanitary facilities
18- Holding the gahanbar ceremony and the death anniversary of Arbab Fereydoon Zartoshti
19- Holding two life skills workshops for children
20- Conducting music classes such as piano, harp, flute recorder, def, tambourine, guitar, santor
21- Holding shuffle dance classes
22- conducting courses in literature, such as reciting the Shahnameh, Masnavi and Hafez poems
23- Holding classes in visual arts such as cartoons (thematic caricatures), animal caricatures, storytelling, pottery, and glass vitra
24- Holding classes in the sewing section, such as micro macrame, pate embroidery, Zoroastrian embroidery, working with felt, Baloch embroidery, steam embroidery, and guipure weaving.
25- Conducting thinking and computer classes for chess, office software, computer
26- Holding various art classes such as crystal weaving, hair weaving, calligraphy
27- Holding an online storytelling festival for the eight-to-twelve-year-old age group
28- Holding the “peyta shahem gah” gahanbar with cooperation of students of the life skills workshop
29- Holding a virtual exhibition of paintings of the Esfandang festival
30- Holding the festival of Esfandag along with holding handicrafts exhibition and sales booths
31- Holding a virtual exhibition of chahar-shambeh-suri celebrations
32- Holding a one-day workshop on telling stories about Amoo Nowrouz’s dreams for children
Kambiz Foroozan, Anahita Abdsharifabadi, Kourosh Foroudi, Mahin Forouzesh, and Kourosh Moradian are the members of the executive board of the House of Culture and Art selected by the Tehran Zoroastrian Association.
