On Friday, the 8th of Mehr, Shiraz Zoroastrian religious, cultural, and sports complex hosted the students and teachers of religious classes to start the new and in-attendance academic year: a different beginning, full of enthusiasm, vitality, and memorable memories.

After the academic years of 1399-1400 were held virtually and without attendance, this year, with the efforts of the religious commission of Shiraz Zoroastrian Association, the students and teachers of the religious classes gathered at 9 am to organize a recreational and educational camp on the first day of the religious classes. First, Mitra Javanmard, deputy and substitute president of the religious commission, introduced the students and teachers, and thus the 12 students of the academic year 1401-1402 were introduced to their teachers.

Next, the students and teachers joined hands and sang the Avesta Hamazouri, which echoed in the air, as a spiritual and heartwarming start for the new academic year. And then, the head of the religious commission, Nahid Felfeli, welcomed the audience and introduced Rata Nurdehi Zeynabad and Artan Saraji as the two new students of the religious classes, and asked them about their wishes and goals for being in the religious classes. Their response was: learning and understanding the religious teachings, teachers’ satisfaction and getting prepared for their Navjote.

Mitra Javanmard then explained the one-day camp program. Accordingly, the students spent the first two hours doing sports and entertainment, and from 11:00 to 13:00, they were in religious classes. After lunch, they participated in the activities in relation to the Mehregan festival.  Mahvash Namdarian and Parvaneh Kianipour, the two older teachers of the religious classes, and several students who joined the students last year and this year were present at the reopening ceremony of the religious classes. They helped to organize this one- day camp as best as possible.
