You’re closed our business, made our women lazy; don’t come back”. And now, after a hundred years, Iranians are struggling with the deadly virus of sanctions, ISIS terrorism, and the flu of dogmatism and barbarism, and United Kingdom coronavirus. We, like our ancestors, are going through hard times. Maybe that song relates to our present state, but no, we are full of hope and aspirations. Why not have hopes in tomorrow.

Tolerance is the way of the people of the world on Nowruz

ayoubi stated: “We have seen healers of love in our hospitals and clinics, who seem to be whispering this poem of Rumi: “We are skilled physicians and disciples of Christ, we have seen many dead and brought them back to life; we are saintly healers and do not need wage; we are pure spirits with no greed or evil.”

The Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO added: “when we see the unconditional generosity of the wealthy and the civil and humble behavior of the poor, we realize that tolerance is the way of the people of the Nowruz world. They have learned to whisper hope, warmth and spring in the face of the cold and hardships, since, “The darkest hour is that before dawn”. Of course, in these difficult times, musicians with their instruments and songs and devotees with their prayers, became the messengers of hope and joy.”

Long live Nowruz; Long live life and happiness

Ayoubi added: “From the first day of the invasion of the demon called COVID-19 we, in the National Commission for UNESCO, have tuned our instruments and today we come with drums, trumpets and oboe and timbales to cry out “Long live Nowruz, long live life and long live happiness and joy. The people of the land of the sun cleaned their houses and washed their hearts of darkness and rust. Nowruz is like crystalline water that washes away darkness, anger and bitterness each time it arrives. Nowruz means the end of ire and the beginning of friendships.”

Addressing the Iranian officials and the world Nowruz ambassadors, Ayoubi said: “Today, reviving the Nowruz traditions doesn’t just mean to travel into history and protect our ancestors’ customs. Today, Nowruz is a solution and a cure. It is a cure for old pains, anxiety and chaos, a cure for fear and anger, and a cure for problems arising from hearts full of rust and hatred.

He declared: “Our ancestors have taught us to fill our minds and souls with great wishes on the verge of the new year.
