It opens with the declaration: \u201cFrom Verethragna (Bahram) Yazata, the victorious power granted by Ahura Mazda, we draw strength and might.\u201d Each section (kardeh) of this hymn contemplates a divine creation and reveals how Ahura-given victory is embodied within it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The swift, healing wind created by Mazda; the magnificent bull with golden horns and yellow ears; the beautiful white horse with yellow ears; the powerful camel, the swift leopard, the sharp-toothed boar; brave with sharp claws; the radiant youth with shining eyes; the falcon\u2014the fastest and lightest of all birds, with outspread wings; the ram with spiral horns; and the luminous, valiant man\u2014all serve as manifestations of Ahura Mazda\u2019s victorious spirit within creation.<\/p>\n<p>The Bahram Yasht calls humanity to recognize the divine victory present in every being shaped by Ahura Mazda. It is an invitation to every person to awaken to the victory bestowed upon them by the divine. The day of Bahram follows the days of Mithra, Sraosha, Rashnu, and Fravardin.<\/p>\n<p>Attaining this Auhric victory requires being kind to oneself, attentive listening to one\u2019s inner voice, fairness toward oneself, and awareness of the light of Ahura Mazda shining within.
