Iranian culture transcends geographical boundaries and conveys the enduring message of kindness and compassion of its people\u2014values shared among all monotheistic faiths\u2014to audiences around the world.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The ancient festival of Mehregan, rooted in love and friendship and highly valued by our ancestors, represents the warmth and kindness of the Iranian people, who, like the sun, illuminate darkness.<\/p>\n<p>Now more than ever, Iran needs unity and national solidarity to counter the plans of adversaries and to show the world that Iranians, guided by compassion and a spirit of peace, engage with others with tolerance, while never abandoning justice, and resisting oppression.<\/p>\n<p>I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the global recognition of this authentic Iranian tradition, a result of the dedicated efforts of cultural authorities and stakeholders.
