Upon inspection, 51 historical coins from various Elymaean and Sasanian periods were discovered and confiscated.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the coins, officers recovered two Islamic-era bracelets, six ancient rings, a metal detector, and several excavation tools.<\/p>\n<p>*The Elymaean region, associated with the Seleucid and Parthian empires, existed prior to the rise of the Sasanian Empire and covered what is today, Khuzestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Lorestan, and Ilam provinces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During routine patrols in Yasuj, police uncovered a number of historical artifacts from the Elymaean* and Sasanian periods.
