Twenty Zoroastrian youths joined hands with the Mobeds as they donned the sacred white garments and tied their Kushti, making a solemn pledge to remain steadfast in the pure Mazdayasnian faith.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sedreh-Pushi ceremony for students from Tehran schools was held on the evening of Thursday, Amordad 2, 1404. This event was organized through the combined efforts of the families, the Council of Mobeds, the Tehran Zoroastrian Association, religious instructors, and the Zoroastrian Youth Organization (Forouhar), and took place at Khosravi Hall. Mobed Hormoz Khosraviani was responsible for coordinating the ceremony.<\/p>\n

The Council of Mobeds covered the expenses for the Kushti and the Sedreh-Pushi ritual. The Tehran Zoroastrian Association provided tea, sweets, sherbet, commemorative plaques with the names of the newly initiated Kushti-wearers, and a copy of Mobed Azargoshasp\u2019s Gathas as gifts. Mobed Dr. Mehraban Pouladi, head of the Council of Mobeds, presented white Sedreh and Araghchin garments to the boys and white Sedreh and shawls to the girls. Families of the youths bore the costs of items such as lorak, photography, floral decorations, and clothing. The Forouhar Organization gifted the newly initiated youths a copy of the Avesta edited by Mobed Firoozgari.<\/p>\n

The ceremony concluded with speeches by Mobed Dr. Mehraban Pouladi, Mobed Ardeshir Khorshidian, Mehtash Mehrozyad (head of the Tehran Zoroastrian Youth Organization, Forouhar), Afshin Namiranian (head of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association), Anahita Shahriari (representing the Zoroastrian parliamentary member), and Sohrab Salamat (head of the Sharifabad Zoroastrian Association in the central region, Asha). Following the speeches, gifts were presented to the newly Sedreh-Pushi youths.<\/p>\n
