I also extend my sympathy for the many lives lost in the past couple of years due to wars and conflicts. To the families of the deceased and to all of humanity, I offer my wishes of peace. Unfortunately, humanity is once again revealing its darker side to the world. We hold the belief that the essence of human nature is progress and development. Humans were created to advance the world through wisdom and knowledge. However, it is crucial to remember that the advancement of knowledge must go hand in hand with the development of spirituality and ethics.”

Mobed Pedram Soroushpour stated, “That is why I am truly honored to be here today among esteemed representatives of various faiths. I’m also grateful for the meaningful words I’ve heard — words rooted in the spiritual foundations of diverse religions, teachings that humanity needs now more than ever.”

He went on to say, “If we aim to have a meaningful voice in the realm of spirituality — a realm in which Iranians have long held a distinguished cultural legacy — our first step must be unity. We must come together around the core values we believe are shared across all religions.”

Mobed Soroushpour emphasized that all divine prophets entered this world with a single purpose: to guide and awaken humanity. “People do not choose the nations or communities into which they are born, nor the educational and cultural environments in which they grow up,” he said. “And this, I believe, is one of the greatest attributes of God — that no matter what belief system or worldview people are born into, they are all His children.”

Prophets came into this world to bring awareness to all of humanity — a truth that people now recognize more than ever. Mobed Pedram Soroushpour stated, “With the strength of our ancient Iranian culture, we can share this message with the world. This deeply rooted culture was the birthplace of monotheistic philosophy.”

He added, “Many of today’s core religious values stem from Iranian beliefs, which now form the foundation of spiritual thought around the globe.”

Speaking on the theme of freedom, he said, “Cyrus the Great stands as a timeless symbol of liberation. If we don’t acknowledge and embrace such figures from our past, others will. These are natural cultural assets of the Iranian people.”

Mobed Soroushpour noted that religious texts refer to Cyrus as a liberator, and Allameh Tabatabai identified him as the just and monotheistic ruler known in the Qur’an as Dhul-Qarnayn. “Had it been any nation, not just the Jewish people, Cyrus would have granted them freedom — because the philosophy of Iran values liberty at its core.”

He concluded, “Respect for human life, equality, and freedom are the pillars of all true religions. These values ultimately point to a shared vision — a world of peace and reconciliation.”

Mobed Pedram Soroushpour stressed that whenever religion is used to justify straying from the path of peace, we lose sight of a shared spiritual vision. “This isn’t just my belief — it reflects the essence of Iranian culture,” he said. “Even after the advent of Islam, Iranians didn’t support the Muslim conquerors who reached Spain, but instead stood behind those whose message was one of spirituality, justice, and freedom.”

He urged, “As Iranians, let’s rely on our own rich heritage. If we speak of peace, our message must be one of life, growth, and prosperity. Let us speak with one voice so the world sees that Iran, through all its challenges, has remained strong — and that our culture still leads.”

He concluded by saying that Iran’s greatest strength lies in its diverse religious communities who live together in peace.

The National Conference on Divine Religions and the Zionist and Western Invasion of Iran was held on Wednesday morning, 18 Tir 1404 (July 9, 2025), at the Research Institute for Culture and Islamic Thought, with the presence of Mobed Pedram Soroushpour, Ayatollah Ali-Akbar Rashad, and other religious leaders.

During the National Conference on “Divine Religions and the Issue of Zionist and Western Aggression Against Iran,” Mobed Pedram Soroushpour emphasized that the primary mission of all divine prophets is to raise awareness among all of humanity, with their vision being a world full of peace and harmony.
