{"id":158478,"date":"2025-07-05T17:44:17","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T14:14:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.amordadnews.com\/?p=158478"},"modified":"2025-07-05T17:44:36","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T14:14:36","slug":"middle-easts-largest-statue-at-vanak-square-honors-the-legend-of-arash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.amordadnews.com\/?p=158478","title":{"rendered":"Middle East\u2019s Largest Statue at Vanak Square Honors the Legend of Arash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>For the first time this year, Tehran\u2019s Vanak Square features a monument dedicated to Arash the Archer, Iran\u2019s national hero.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The statue, representing Arash\u2019s sacrifice and defense of Iran\u2019s borders, was unveiled on June 21, 2025 (31 Khordad 1404 in the Persian calendar) at Vanak Square.<\/p>\n<p>Although the statue was installed earlier on June 10, 2025 (20 Khordad), its unveiling ceremony was held without formalities due to the country\u2019s wartime situation.<\/p>\n<p>Weighing 6 tons and measuring 15 meters in height (including its base), this bronze statue is regarded as the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
