“Zarathushtra’s hymns” was translated from Avestan to Swedish by Dr. Ashk Peter Dahl\u00e9n and was introduced to the Swedish literary community for the first time. This translation results from seven years of continuous efforts of Dr. Ashk Peter Dahl\u00e9n and has been published in cooperation with “Hastrom” publications.<\/p>\n

Ashk Peter Dahlen was born in Tafresh, Tehran, in 1972 and grew up in Sweden. He is an Iranologist in linguistics, Persian language, and literature, Avestan language, associate professor of Iranian languages at Uppsala University, translator and researcher, and founder and president of the Iranian Studies Association in Scandinavia. He has published the Swedish translation of Zarathustra’s Gathas from the Old Avestan language. Among his other works are the translations of Mowlavi and Hafez poems and the books of Lama’at Book by Fakhr al-Din Iraqi and Nizami Ganjavi. Among his other works are Persian grammar books (3rd edition 2018) and Persian language for beginners (2nd edition 2016) in Swedish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
