Reopening of Shah Verahramizad Sharifabad

The Zoroastrian Association of Sharifabad, Ardakan, announced the completion of the first phase of restoration and the reopening of Shah Verahramizad.

According to the association, the site was reopened on Varahram Izad Day, Azar month 3763 Zoroastrian (Friday, 14 Azar 1404 / 5 December 2025) with a recitation of the Verahram Yasht and in the presence of fellow Zoroastrians. The restoration was carried out under the supervision of the Ardakan Cultural Heritage Department, funded by Mostafa Pourdehghan, Ardakan’s parliamentary representative, and supported by generous benefactors in coordination with the Zoroastrian Association of Sharifabad. The second phase of restoration will proceed once additional funding is secured.

The association expressed its gratitude to Dr. Pourdehghan, the Ardakan Cultural Heritage Department, the contractor, the caretaker of Shah Verahramizad, the local Zoroastrian community, and all benefactors who contributed both materially and spiritually praying to Ahura Mazda for the continued success and prosperity of all.
