The election to select the Zoroastrian student representative for the 13th term of Iran’s National Student Parliament was held at Markar Campus in Yazd, where Ramin Ganji won the highest number of votes.

The voting process took place on Thursday, Bahman 16, 1404 (February 5, 2026), at Markar Campus, attended by Mansoureh Sanati, an expert from the Yazd Provincial Student Parliament Secretariat. The event brought together students participating in Zoroastrian religious classes in Yazd, aiming to appoint a representative of the Zoroastrian student community within the national Student Parliament framework. During the program, 11 candidates from the eighth and ninth grades presented their ideas, plans, and perspectives.

After the ballots were cast and counted, Ramin Ganji secured the most votes with a total of 48 and was elected as the Zoroastrian student representative from Yazd Province to the 13th National Student Parliament.

Before the voting commenced, coinciding with the start of classes and while students were lining up, Fereydoun Keshmiri, chairman of the Zoroastrian Religious Commission of Yazd Province, briefed the students on the election process, explaining the purpose of the Student Parliament and the role of a student representative. Following this introduction, interested students, under the guidance of Pashoutanizadeh, an educational deputy, registered as candidates and stepped forward to present themselves.

Faraz Ekhtiari, the representative from the 12th Student Parliament, then addressed the students, outlining the responsibilities and activities a representative could undertake within the parliamentary framework and responding to questions from the candidates. Each candidate was subsequently called individually to introduce themselves, sharing their skills and proposed initiatives.

After the presentations, students returned to their classrooms and the voting process began. Mansoureh Sanati, an expert from the Yazd Provincial Student Parliament Secretariat who oversees the election each year, along with Pashoutanizadeh, visited the classrooms to conduct the voting on a class-by-class basis.
