Saina Soltanipour, a Zoroastrian athlete, earned second place in the national Hong Kyokushin karate kumite championships held in Yazd.
The national-level competitions took place with the participation of 700 karate athletes. In these championships, Saina Soltanipour, daughter of Mehri Pourbehmardian and Afshin Soltanipour, secured the runner-up position.
The 7th round of the Hong Kyokushin Iran Championships in the women’s division was held on Thursday, 27 Azar 1404 (December 18, 2025), at Shahid Sadooghi Hall in Yazd.
Saina Soltanipour’s athletic background includes winning second place in kata and third place in kumite at the sixth National Kyokushin Karate Championships in Kerman, third place in the under-55 kg category at the National Shin Razm Zolfaghar Karate Championships in Isfahan, and a gold medal at the Yazd Provincial Women’s Kyokushin Kai Karate Championships.
