Ramtin Houshangi Becomes Head of Ramsar Fencing Association

Ramtin Houshangi, a young Iranian Zoroastrian, has been appointed head of the Ramsar Fencing Association.

Speaking to Amordad, Houshangi explained that the appointment followed an evaluation of his more than three years as acting head. His nomination, recommended by Ali Goya, the new supervisor of Ramsar’s Sports Department, was approved by Mazandaran’s General Directorate of Sports and Youth and confirmed by the Fencing Association’s leadership and Seyed Esmaeil Hashemi, Director General of Economy and Finance of Mazandaran. The formal appointment was finalized in the presence of Hadi Taslimian, secretary of the association, board members, and the head of Ramsar’s Sports Department.

Houshangi is also a Zoroastrian writer, the youngest head of a sports association in Ramsar, and serves as secretary of the Ramsar Environmental Secretariat.
