The ceremony was partly supported by the donation of the children of the late Mehr Soroush Lohrasbi and his wife Kharman Bahram Khosravi.
During the event, sirog was prepared by the Afkham family. Following the prayers, refreshments were served in Master Mahyar Ardeshir Hall of Qasemabad, courtesy of Rashid Jamshid Mavandadi and his wife Mahvash Khodarahm Amirani.
The day of Khorsh-e Izad in Dae—corresponding to the 5th of Dey in the current Iranian calendar—is the anniversary of Ashu Zarathushtra’s passing, the Iranian teacher whose guidance marks the beginning of monotheism in the world. On this day, Ashu Zarathushtra and several of his companions were martyred at the Fire Temple of Balkh by the Turanians.
