Guiv Girls’ Elementary School hosted a special ceremony for first-grade students marking the beginning of their studies in the Avesta and the Quran on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
According to the school, in line with the Education Department’s guidelines, this celebration is held to honor the start of learning these two sacred texts. The event, highlighting the importance of religious education, welcomed both Muslim and Zoroastrian first graders and was organized by Roshan Goshtasbi, Zoroastrian religious instructor, and Nafas Mohammadi, first-grade teacher, with the participation of school principal Fatemeh Salmanzadeh.
Guiv Elementary School is one of Tehran’s historic and prestigious schools, with more than 70 years of educational excellence. Established in the early era of modern schools through the efforts of Arbab Rostam Guiv, it continues to serve as a vibrant and active institution for young learners.
