Ascent of the Tehran Zoroastrian mountaineering group to Mount Zingalu

The Tehran Zoroastrian Mountaineering Group successfully reached the summit of Mount Zingalu during a recent expedition.

According to the group’s report, five Zoroastrian mountaineers—Abtin Azargoshssbi, Noushin Foroudi, Mozhgan Mozhgani, and Firoozeh Mavandadi—led by Kourosh Moradian, climbed Mount Zingalo in Zirab, Savadkuh, on Thursday, 15 Aban 1404 (November 6, 2025).

Their journey began at 4:30 a.m. from Salmas Square in Tehran. Traveling through the Firouzkouh route, they arrived in Savadkuh and Zirab, where they parked near the entrance of Shahid Beheshti University. The hike officially started at 7:45 a.m. After traversing forested paths, mountain trails, and enjoying the scenic views of the area, the team reached the summit at 11:15 a.m. They shared breakfast, took photos, and rested for an hour before beginning their descent at 12:10 p.m.

By 3:30 p.m., the group had returned to their vehicles and began the trip back to Tehran. The program concluded at 7 p.m. with their safe arrival in the city, carried out with full attention to safety measures and respect for the environment.
