First-grade students at Marker Girls’ Elementary School in Yazd celebrated their first lessons in reading and writing the word “water” during the month of Aban.
The event took place on Saturday, 10 Aban 1404 (October 31, 2025) from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., attended by students’ parents. The celebration was organized by Yasaman Boroumandzad, the first-grade teacher, and Mina Khavarian, the school principal.
During the festival, students not only practiced writing the word “water” but also learned about its value and the importance of responsible usage.
Marker Elementary School remains the only school in Yazd exclusively for Zoroastrian girls.
