The Yazd Zoroastrian Association, in collaboration with the Narsiabad Zoroastrian Association, organized the second event in its series of cultural sessions dedicated to exploring Zoroastrian documents and historical records. This session examined a document titled “List of Community Decrees Kept in the Iron Chest of the Panchayat at the Old Varahram Fire Temple of Yazd.”
As reported by the Yazd Zoroastrian Association’s website, the session opened with welcoming remarks from the moderator, Mehrdad Khosroviani, who also outlined the goals and structure of the event. Dr. Bahman Moradian, a scholar with a Ph.D. in Ancient Culture and Languages, then delivered a comprehensive lecture, shedding light on the document’s contents and historical importance.
The program continued with a presentation by Jamshid Varza, author of “Documents of the Zoroastrian Jahaniyan Family,” who shared insights into the process of writing his book and examining his family’s archival records. The session concluded with a reception for the attendees.
The second session of the “Study of Zoroastrian Documents and Records” series took place on Wednesday, 7 Aban 1404 (October 29, 2025 / Tir Izad day of Aban month 3763 in the Zoroastrian calendar) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Bozorg Chami Hall.
The series consists of four sessions, with the first held on 30 Mehr 1404 (October 22, 2025), and the next scheduled for Wednesday, 14 Aban 1404 (November 5, 2025 / Varahram Izad day of Aban month 3763 Zoroastrian calendar) at Rostami Hall in Narsiabad.
