The Zoroastrian community of Mazraeh-e Kalantar village in Yazd came together to celebrate the Gahanbar Ayathrem ceremony, reaffirming their connection to ancient traditions and community spirit.
The event was held at the village’s fire temple complex on the afternoon of Anaram Izad day in Mehr month, corresponding to Thursday, Mehr 24, 1404 (October 16, 2025). The ceremony featured Avesta recitations by local mobeds Khodadad Manouchehri, Khorsand, and Rostam Shahriari.
Gahanbar Ayathrem is the fourth of the six annual Zoroastrian seasonal festivals, observed each year from the 20th to the 24th of Mehr month (coinciding with Arshtat to Anaram Izad days in the Zoroastrian calendar).
