Minister of Cultural Heritage Visits Tehran Fire Temple on Mehr Day

On the first day of September 2025, Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, visited Tehran Fire Temple with Mobed Mehraban Pouladi, head of the Mobeds Association, and Behshid Barkhordar, Zoroastrian representative.

The visit focused on the temple’s preservation, architectural features, cultural significance, and appropriate restoration practices. This event followed the opening-day celebrations at Firoozbahram Endowed High School and Art School.

Located on Si Tir Street and managed by the Mobeds and Zoroastrians Associations of Tehran, the fire temple is a key religious monument. Its foundation was laid in Amordad 1293 (July 1914) and it opened during Azargan 1296 (November 1917). Recognized for its century-long history, it was registered as a national heritage site on 11 Esfand 1381 (March 2, 2003).
