First Book-Reading Gathering Held in Yazd

The Zoroastrian Specialized Library in Yazd hosted the first session of its book-reading series, “Let’s Read Together.”

According to the Yazd Zoroastrian Association, the inaugural gathering took place on Monday, 17 Shahrivar 1404 (Shahrivar 3763 in the Zoroastrian calendar) from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

At the opening, Mehrdad Khosraviani, head of cultural affairs at the association, welcomed attendees and shared the history and founding of the library by Banu and Keykhosrow Bozorgchami. He highlighted the importance of such gatherings and explained the format and approach of the sessions. Participants then engaged in discussions, sharing their opinions and suggestions.

The session also featured a reading of “Shahpasand” by Jamshid Zerehpoush, performed by one of the participants.

The gatherings will continue weekly on Mondays at 5:00 PM at the Zoroastrian Specialized Library in Yazd (Banu and Keykhosrow Bozorgchami). The Yazd Zoroastrian Association invited all book enthusiasts to join the sessions.
