On Friday, September 5, 2025, the Tehran Zoroastrian Mountaineering Group successfully summited Pashooreh Peak.
The group departed at 4:40 a.m. from Second Square, Tehranpars, traveling by car along Firouzkooh Road toward the village of Lasem. After roughly two hours, they reached the final parking point in the village.
The hike began at 6:15 a.m. After about fifteen minutes along a paved road and past a spring, the climbers turned left onto the mountain trail, starting the main ascent.
Following the initial steep slope, the majestic Damavand Peak came into view. The route continued along the ridge, keeping Damavand visible throughout. A clearly marked trail with gentle inclines led the group first to Abart Peak and then to Pashooreh Peak. Unfortunately, neither summit had signposts, likely damaged by strong winter winds.
After about five hours of challenging climbing, the group reached the summit of Pashooreh Peak at 11:15 a.m. Following a 45-minute rest and lunch, they began their descent. Shortly after leaving the summit, the team turned left into the valley trail and made their way down.
The hike concluded in the village of Lasem at 3:30 p.m. The drive back to Tehran was slightly delayed due to traffic, and the group arrived at 6:30 p.m. The expedition was completed safely, with all participants in good health.
