The Ashtad Izad and Tirmah observance was held at Adrian Temple of Tehran, featuring communal prayers along with religious, educational, and cultural activities.
On the morning of Monday, 14 July 2025 (23 Tir 1404), organized by the executive board of Adrian Temple of Tehran, the event took place in the temple’s conference hall with the presence of community members.
The program began with a group prayer for strength and health, led by Mobedyar Hormoz Khosroviani, including recitations from the Avesta and cleansing practices. Several participants from the temple’s Gatha-reading classes joined in chanting with the attendees. Following this, Mobedyar Khosroviani gave a talk on “Gender Equality in Zoroastrianism” and responded to related questions from the community.
Next, under the guidance of Mojdeh Vesali, attendees participated in stretching, light exercise, and corrective movements in the temple’s open courtyard.
The program continued with a health discussion led by Negar Bozorgchami, a pharmacist, on “Common Headaches with a Focus on Aging: Symptoms, Causes, Management, and Available Treatments and Medications,” followed by an engaging Q&A session.
The commemoration concluded with refreshments, including tea, sweets, chocolates, fruits, watermelon, traditional Lor snacks, and other treats. The gathering also celebrated the birthdays of two adolescent attendees during the event.
Following this, Negar Bozorgchami, a Zoroastrian religious teacher and Gatha reciter, provided explanations of important terms from the Din Dabireh and the Avesta to the attendees.
Next, Mehrangiz Zahabi spoke about the land of Iran and shared poems celebrating the country with the audience. Afterwards, Homayoun Mehrzad performed the song “Iran Vatanam” (My Homeland Iran) for those present.
The event concluded with musical performances by Shahin Shirmardi, Fereydoun Sami, Shahnaz Pashootanizadeh, Keshvar Kavousi, Khorshidbanoo Kavousi, Ardeshir Kiani, Mina Farzaneh, and Homayoun Mehrzad, followed by a group photo session.
Representing the executive board of Adrian Temple of Tehran, Dadbeh Owrangi expressed appreciation to all Valakusha and attendees of the Ashtad Izad commemoration, with special recognition given to Mehri Manouchehri.
