The 26th anniversary of Amordad Weekly was celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2025 (17 Amordad 1404), with a special ceremony at Narges House. The event coincided with the Gahambar Toji ceremony, accompanied by Avesta recitations from Mobed Kourosh Bolandi.
Distinguished speakers included Dr. Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, jurist, cultural researcher, and author; Engineer Babak Salamati, managing director and editor-in-chief of Amordad Weekly; and Dr. Afshin Namiranian, head of the Tehran Zoroastrian Association.
The program featured traditional storytelling by Sindokht Ebdali (the epic of Rostam and Esfandiar), a performance of the play Arash by Farzin Taheri, as well as music by Shahin Shirmardi (vocals), Artin Khosrovian (tombak), and Parsa Salamatipour (violin).
The ceremony also honored members of the Zoroastrian Mountaineering Group, led by Sirous Mandegari, who each year commemorate the anniversary by climbing one of Iran’s peaks and raising the Amordad flag at the summit.
Founded on August 8, 1999 (18 Amordad 1378), Amordad Weekly has dedicated the past 26 years to promoting culture and safeguarding Iran’s rich history.
