As part of the 42nd Janbakhtegan Cup sports competitions, chess matches were held in three formats: Blitz, Double, and Matrand.
On Friday, 10 Amordad 1404, players competed in the children’s, youth, and adult divisions.
Children’s Division:
Parsa Foroudi took first place, followed by Arman Foroudian in second, and Roham Khodadadi in third.
Youth Division:
Artin Parsia and Mazda Forouhari shared first place. Fardin Falahati came second, and Radmehr Rostami placed third.
Adult Division:
Bahman Joubanian claimed the top spot, with Parsa Dehmobed in second place and Abtin Behmardi in third.
Dariush Karimdadi secured first place, followed by Bahman Joubanian in second, and Soshiyant Pourushasp in third.
On the evening of Wednesday, 8 Amordad, the Double Chess competition took place. In this category, the team of Vafa Dinyarian and Artin Houshangi claimed first place. The team of Parya Ormazdi and Soshiyant Pourushasp came second, while the team of Zartosht Pourushasp and Matin Mojgani finished third.
On Thursday, 9 Amordad, the Matrand category matches of the 42nd Janbakhtegan Cup were held. The top players were:
- First place: Artin Houshangi
- Second place (shared): Mazda Forouhari and Niknam Rayomand
- Third place: Matin Mojgani
This event featured 20 participants.
The 42nd Janbakhtegan Cup sports competitions, organized by the Zoroastrian Students’ Association and hosted at the Markar Hall, will conclude on Friday, 10 Amordad, after five days of contests.
