The preliminary Manthra competition took place on the afternoon of Monday, 23 Tir 1404 (July 14, 2025) at the Kerman Fire Temple, attended by fellow Zoroastrians and members of the Tehran Zoroastrian Students Association.
Members from the Tehran Zoroastrian Students Association traveled to assist with the event. The on-site judge was Khodamorad Parsi Mehr, with coordination handled by Anita Behmardi, Pegah Bozorgchami, Nima Ardeshiri Mobarakeh, Kaviyan Goshtasbi, and Sherwin Namiranyan. The competition started promptly at 4:00 PM.
The ceremony opened with Gatha recitations by Peyvand Shahriari and Keyvan Bakhtiari. Following that, ten participants competed across three age groups and categories: Ahunawar Gath, Ashtad Gath, and Az Barakhani (ages 10 to 18).
In the Ashtad Gath category, competitors included Sepandmad Keyvan Bakhtiari, Peyvand Shahriari, and Rojan Keyviani. In the memorizing category, participants were Aida Bavafa, Pandar Shahriari, Peyvand Shahriari, Chista Farohari, Artemis Kaviani, and Roujan Kaviani.
In the Ahunawar category, the contestants were Aida Bavafa, Aryan Bavafa, Arash Khademi, Farhad Farhadi, Fardin Fallahati, and Artemis Kaviani.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo session.
