Behshid Barkhordar, the Zoroastrian representative in the Iranian Parliament, responded to the country’s recent tragic events by emphasizing the enduring spirit of unity among Iranians. “Iran is a nation with a rich civilization and ancient history. This solidarity and cohesion are part of our culture and deeply rooted in our history,” she stated.
According to Khabar site, Barkhordar stated that the government, the political system, and various institutions have demonstrated their support for the people during these challenging times.
She further highlighted the national unity in the face of recent threats, saying: “The Iranian people have always come together in difficult moments. Even during the Iran-Iraq war, our nation showed the world the strength of our unity.”
She emphasized that maintaining this national solidarity is a key factor in Iran’s resilience against external threats. “It is this collective unity that gives our country the strength to deter any enemy from daring to violate our land, skies, or seas,” she stated.
Barkhordar went on to acknowledge the role of the government, the political system, and various institutions in standing by the people during recent hardships. However, she underscored the need for more focused attention on the public’s economic well-being. “We hope to see greater efforts to improve living conditions, so that this spirit of national solidarity can also be reinforced in the social and economic spheres,” she added.
