Pars Banoo Shrine to Host Zoroastrians for Annual Communal Pilgrimage

The sacred Pars Banoo shrine will once again open its doors to Zoroastrian pilgrims for the annual day of communal visitation, thanks to the efforts of the Sharifabad Zoroastrian Association of Ardakan.

According to the association, preparations are underway to welcome worshippers on Mehr Izad Day of the Tir month in the Zoroastrian calendar, which falls on July 4, 2025 (13 Tir). As in previous years, the shrine will serve as a spiritual gathering place for the Zoroastrian community.

The Sharifabad Zoroastrian Association has encouraged pilgrims to come together in prayer at this sacred site, offering devotion to Ahura Mazda for the prosperity of Iran and the health and well-being of all Iranians.

This year, with the pilgrimage coinciding with the Islamic month of Muharram, the association has requested that visitors observe respectful conduct in keeping with the broader cultural context.

Located at the foot of a mountain near the southern edge of Aqda — approximately 112 kilometers southwest of Yazd — the Pars Banoo shrine is a revered pirangah (pilgrimage site). The main period of pilgrimage traditionally spans from July 4 to July 8 (13–17 Tir). The Sharifabad Zoroastrian Association continues to serve as the custodian of this sacred place.
