Organized by the Yazd Zoroastrian Association, a half-day tour focused on water tourism was held, featuring visits to the historic Zarch Qanat and the Vazir Water Mill.
According to the Yazd Zoroastrian Association, the tour took place on Friday, the 9th of Khordad 1404 (which corresponds to Khordad 3763 in the Zoroastrian calendar), coinciding with the celebration of the Khordadgan festival. The tour began at 5 PM from the entrance of the Great Jameh Mosque and concluded at 9 PM with a visit to the Zarch Qanat and Vazir Water Mill. The group was accompanied by Ms. Hejazi, a specialist guide in qanat systems. During the tour, participants were served Yazdi coffee and cake.
The festival of Khordad, which signifies perfection and completeness and is symbolized by water, inspired the Yazd Zoroastrian Association to plan and execute this tour. This event provided an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the importance of ancient water routes and the lasting heritage of Yazd.
