Sepanta Rashidi Reached Round of 16 in National Archery Ranking Tournament

Zoroastrian athlete Sepanta Rashidi has secured a place in the Round of 16 during the opening stage of Iran’s national outdoor compound archery ranking competition.

The event, held in Shiraz on Thursday and Friday, May 8–9, 2025, brings together top-tier archers from across the country. Rashidi, the sole representative from Yazd province, delivered a strong performance to advance to the final 16 in this technically demanding tournament.

Organized under the authority of the Archery Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the competition is known for its high standards. Rashidi has been training rigorously under coach Mohammad Ali Karoghali, following the technical regimen of the Arash Kamangir Archery Club in Yazd.

Sepanta Rashidi, a Zoroastrian athlete and the only representative from Yazd province, had previously participated in the national senior compound archery team selection event in Tehran, where he achieved an 18th-place finish.

At the provincial level, Rashidi has also demonstrated his dominance, winning first place in the Yazd Provincial Archery Championship in the men’s compound category. In addition, Rayika Felfeli claimed first place in the girls’ youth compound category.

Rashidi’s consistency in local competitions is noteworthy, as he has consistently secured top positions. He also earned third place in the Kerman inter-county open tournament.
