Completion of the Electricity and Street Lighting Project in Cham Village Following the Drinking Water Project

Securing access to government budgets and infrastructure resources is an essential and undeniable need for the Zoroastrian community today. It aims to restore, renovate, and rebuild historic and educational structures. This endeavor is supported by the generous contributions of donors who have selflessly shared their wealth over the years to ensure the community’s continued existence. However, the presence of deteriorated and unrepaired buildings is a sign of poor management or insufficient donations, and this issue requires further attention and reflection.
In 2023, Dr. Behshid Barkhordar, speaking to the residents of Cham Village, stated that with the assistance of Ahura Mazda and by utilizing available government and infrastructure funding, along with the support of donors, she intended to make the most of her role as the representative of Zoroastrians in Parliament. She vowed to use every opportunity to promote restoration, renovation, and the betterment of the community. She also noted that if community members joined forces, these efforts would accelerate, leading to faster progress.
As part of this initiative, the electricity and street lighting project in Cham Village was successfully completed in 2024, following the earlier completion of the drinking water project. This was one of the pre-planned goals, and it has now come to fruition. With the continued help of Ahura Mazda, as well as the collective efforts of the leaders, members of the associations, and the support of the community, it is hoped that significant service can be rendered to the Zoroastrian community.
