Behshid Barkhordar, the Zoroastrian representative in the Iranian Parliament, successfully obtained 200 billion toman in funding for development projects in Yazd following her recent three-day visit to the province.
According to Barkhordar, the visit took place from Farvardin 7 to 9, 1404 (March 27–29, 2025), during which she engaged with local Zoroastrian communities and held meetings with community leaders. The visit was organized to address various concerns and assess the needs of these communities.
As a result of requests from several associations, including those from Qasemabad, Sharifabad in Ardakan, Hassanabad, Khormashah, and the villages of Zeynabad and Mobarakeh, Barkhordar announced that the allocated 200 billion toman would be used for key infrastructure and development projects. These include improvements to the water supply, electricity networks (such as replacing power poles), the restoration of historical buildings and sites under the supervision of the Cultural Heritage Department, and the construction of sports facilities.
Barkhordar expressed her hope that this initiative would meet the approval of Ahura Mazda and serve as a valuable contribution to the well-being of the Zoroastrian community.
