The Zoroastrian community in London celebrated Nowruz with two separate events, attended by the British monarch’s representative, local officials, and Zoroastrians from both the Parsi and Iranian communities. These gatherings took place at the Zoroastrian Center and the Taj Hotel, featuring prayers, the Nowruz ceremony, and recognition of young Zoroastrians.
To mark the beginning of the new solar year, the Zoroastrian community in London held two events. The first, a Jashn Khani celebration, was held on the 2nd of Farvardin 1404 (March 21, 2025) at the Zoroastrian Center and the Zoroastrian Brothers’ Conference Hall in North London. The event included prayers at the Brothers’ Hall, the Jashn Khani ceremony in the prayer hall at the Zoroastrian Center, and the reading of messages from the British monarch, the Prime Minister, and the local Mayor. The British monarch’s representative also attended and was warmly welcomed by the Association’s Secretary.
The second gathering took place on the 10th of Farvardin 1404 (March 29, 2025) at the prestigious Taj Hotel in Central London. It began with prayers, followed by a Nowruz table, a festive Nowruz dinner, and the acknowledgment of a young Zoroastrian entrepreneur. A standout feature of this gathering was the presence of Lord Karan Bilimoria, a member of the House of Lords. The Zoroastrian Association of London took the opportunity to thank its dedicated members and the youth for their support and efforts.
