The Zoroastrian Association of British Columbia hosted a celebration for the birth of Ashu Zartosht with the participation of local Zoroastrians in Vancouver, Canada. The ancient Nowruz festival, along with the birth anniversary of Ashu Zartosht, took place on March 29, 2025, organized by the Zoroastrian Association of British Columbia, with the involvement of young Zoroastrians from the city.
The event was planned and managed by Homa Ashtari, with the assistance of Miss Parmis Kashmiri. The celebration commenced with the national anthems of Iran and Canada, performed by Anita Shahriari.
Afterward, Farahnaz Reyhani, president of the Zoroastrian Association of British Columbia, welcomed the attendees. Farahnaz Reyhani and Dr. Pourandokht Rostamian were the main speakers of the ceremony.
Guests enjoyed performances by young artists Anita Shahriari and Nosha Shahriari, as well as the Dance Academy. The event also included a raffle, with valuable prizes awarded to the attendees.
The celebration continued well into the night with dancing and festivities, organized by Fariborz Azarkheyvan.
The Zoroastrian Association of British Columbia thanked the young members of the Zoroastrian community (Kiarash Khodabakhshi, Shahin Rostami Rad, and Yasaman Iranfar) as well as Arvis Behmanesh and Mehrdad Kashmiri for their invaluable support in organizing the event.
