During the Nowruz holiday, the Yazd Fire Temple welcomed both Zoroastrians and tourists.
Following the arrival of the year 1404 (2025), Zoroastrians in Yazd, like those in other Zoroastrian-populated cities, visited the fire temple to offer prayers, recite Avesta, and exchange New Year greetings. They marked the beginning of the new year in the presence of the sacred fire, accompanied by the soothing scent of frankincense.
The fire temple’s tourism section also received visitors in the early hours of the new year. Many travelers, eager to learn about Zoroastrian culture and traditions, visited the temple to start 1404 (2025) beside its sacred fire. Guests explored different areas, including the water reservoir and the photo gallery, while tour guides provided insights into Zoroastrian customs.
Out of respect for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali, the Yazd Fire Temple will be closed from 5 PM on the first of Farvardin until 5 PM on the second of Farvardin 1404 (March 21–22, 2025).
