The Zoroastrian Association of Khormashah, Yazd, held a joyous commemoration of the Global Sadeh Festival on the evening of 10th Bahman 1403 (January 30, 2025).
The event began at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, 10th Bahman 1403, at the Mazdaisna Club in Khormashah. Avesta was recited by Mobeds Khodamrad Ganjizadeh, Rostam Kavousian Zadeh, and Fariba Melli, with participation of Zoroastrians.
The Sadeh Festival, listed as No. 2067 in Iran’s national intangible heritage on 29th Bahman 1398, was officially added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in Azar 1402 (December 2023) during the 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
